A camel trek at a leisurely pace crossing a desert which will show you its many faces: stony plateau, dizzying cliffs sculpted by erosion, dune piles, palm groves, tamarisks, desert flowers, gueltas, cave paintings like inscribed dreams on the rock...
In the middle of the immense expanses of this beautiful region, on your horse, you will take the time to admire the exceptional atmosphere that reigns there, while experiencing the extreme freedom that nomadic life provides. A few walks also allow you to discover well-hidden gueltas, or rock shelters known only to hunters... A great Saharan experience which will take you to the famous Essendilène canyon: a magnificent reward.
An adventure intended for walking enthusiasts, but with a route also accessible to less experienced people and especially children. A curiosity to discover as a family.
THE SPIRIT OF TRAVEL
If you want to know the sensations offered by the desert, without the constraints of life in a bivouac, this trip is made for you. Every morning you leave aboard your 4x4 to discover the spectacular geological treasures embedded in this part of the desert: high mountainous reliefs, volcanic massifs, steep cliffs, huge crystalline plateaus covered with lava … and every evening you return to the comfort of your hotel. A gentle expedition, which will give you great emotions and will leave you with lasting memories.
Itineraries
Day 01
EUROPE - DJANET
Flight to Djanet on a regular flight via Algiers. On your arrival, welcome by our local Tuareg team. Access formalities to the Tassili National Park and immediate departure by 4x4 towards Dag Eharadje, meeting place with the rest of the team: guide, camel drivers...

Day 02
DJANET - TASSILI IN ELAKEF - IN-ARAMAS
After breakfast, we will begin our camel trek through the magnificent Tassili stone forest of Elakef. Everyone will get to know their mount and learn the essential rules for "steering" this emblematic animal of the Sahara. This first day in the desert will reveal a very beautiful panoramic view of Kalembou and the Tassili N'Ajjer plateau through the small wadis that lead to Djanet.
Installation of the bivouac on the plateau of In Aramas.
Dinner and overnight on site.
Day 03
IN-ARAMAS - WADI TALOUTEDJARTE
After breakfast, we will take the labyrinth of In-Aramas, we will cross a succession of landscapes as diverse as they are surprising. Through the pass and the Oued Taloutedjarte we will reach the Guelta Agzel encrusted in the cliff.
Installation of the bivouac. Dinner and night in the Taloutedjarte wadi.
Day 04
TILELENE - TEDJLEH EKRAR
After breakfast, we will leave for the sublime plain of Tilelene, where the view stretches along the wadi. You can meditate on this magical place, of immense beauty. We will take the opportunity to discover the cave paintings of Tedjleh Ekrar.
Installation of the bivouac. Dinner and overnight on site.
Day 05
TIKOUBAOUINE - ERG ADMER - OUED HELL
After breakfast, we will ride our mounts, we will explore the landscape of Tikoubaouine, with its impressive needles, and which offers a view of the huge dune of Erg Admer. We will visit the Guelta Taouia. We will cross a succession of deep gorges which will lead us to Oued Hell.
Installation of the bivouac. Dinner and night in the Hell wadi.
Day 06
TALAT INAZAI - ESSENDILENE
After breakfast, we will cross the Talat Inazai pass, towards the famous Essendilene canyon, a real jewel nestled between the cliffs, and immersed in the heart of tamarisk, palm groves and oleanders.
Installation of the bivouac under the freshness of the tamarisks. Dinner and night in the famous guelta of Essendilène.
Day 07
ESSENDILENE - TEGHARGHART
After breakfast, we will devote our morning to discovering the canyon and its natural secrets. After lunch, return to Djanet in 4x4. Visit of the city and its curiosities.
Installation of the bivouac. Dinner and overnight in Tagharghart.
Day 08
DJANET - EUROPE
Breakfast.
Free day to enjoy the sights of the city and do some shopping.
Depending on the flight schedule, transfer with assistance to Djanet airport. Flight to Europe on regular flight via Algiers.
